What Am I Afraid Of?

When I read today’s blog challenge, my first response was, “Is this a trick question? What am I not afraid of?”

You see, my list of fears can be extensive:

Sharks, snakes, clowns, spiders, spider webs, alligators, water, oysters, scorpions, cliffs, tornadoes, hurricanes, falling, vomiting, needles, hospitals, knives, dolls with teeth, escalators, plate glass windows, talking to strangers on the phone, large crowds, disappointing people, things with tentacles, subways…

Yes, I’m a chicken. Big time. It’s ridiculous and I know it.

I cling to this verse from the Bible, and it helps me find a little strength:

For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

 2 Timothy 1:7

What are you afraid of? What helps you deal with your fears?
