Day five of the June Blogging Challenge: Three Personality Traits I’m Proud Of.
First trait, that I’m not so nit-picky of a person to notice that today’s challenge title ends with a preposition. Normally that would bother me, but I recently read a blog that informed me of the origin of that “rule” of grammar, and that it was really no more than one person being bossy and superior to everyone else. Therefore, I am trying to be more flexible with my grammar rules. I am currently resisting the urge to change it to “Three Personality Traits of Which I’m Proud.” Drat.
Next, I think I’m a fairly patient person. My super-power/ alter ego is “Knot Woman” (not “Not Woman” which is something else entirely) I am able to untangle knots in yarn, necklace chain, fishing wire, rope, string, and all sorts of things like that. I can wait for food, people, and events and still keep a pretty even temper, knowing that waiting only makes the “thing” better when it arrives.
Lastly, I can be both a detail-oriented person and a big-picture person, as the situation dictates. I can focus on the fact that this blog is a great way for my readers to get to know a little tiny bit about me, and I can fret over the idea that these are just three traits. Maybe they’re not the traits I’m MOST proud of. (Of which I’m most proud…drat again) Perhaps later this afternoon I’ll think of something else, and wish I’d written about that instead. Both mind-sets are there– constantly working in my brain. Sometimes for me; sometimes against me. Both there, able to untie all my mental knots in a single bound.
Okay, let’s just call this one good. If you really want to know more about me, just ask in the comment section. I would love to hear from you.
